OK so this is gonna be tough as Crue are one of my top 5 bands. I haven’t looked at your lists yet or listened to the podcast – will do both after I submit my list.
Crue 94 is their best album musically and lyrically but I’m not adding any of those songs because if you did a playlist for someone they are so different that people wouldn’t think they are the same band.
So here goes…….
Side 1
Live Wire
Red Hot
Shout At The Devil
All In The Name Of………
Kickstart My Heart
Side 2
Primal Scream
Dr Feelgood
Tonight (We Need a Lover)
Piece Of Your Action
Home Sweet Home
Finish on a ballad.

An other great list Steve! Without giving away too many spoilers, I can say that we do touch on a number of these songs in one way or another!
And what kind of Motley Crue episode would it be if we didn’t discuss Crue ‘94? Well all have various takes on the album and its inclusion (or non-inclusion) on our respective lists. I’ll be interested to hear what you think after you listen to the episode!

Oh yeah you definitely have to talk about Crue 94 as its a masterpiece. Phenomenal album and as someone said on the Pod – maybe a name change would’ve helped – Nikki said the same a few years later.
I think the 2nd guitar took and much stronger vocals Crue to a new level. Tommy played his ass off and Johns powerful voice forced Nikki to write about something else other than chasing girls.
Some deep subjects like child abuse were written about and you just would never have imagined Crue writing about something like that with Vince because Johns vocals are so strong he took the songs to places Vinces couldn’t go to. Vinces voice was perfect for the 80s but in the 90s not so good.
Primal Scream was probably the last great song written with Vince on board.
It worked the other way as well in that John singing Vinces songs always sounded odd as well as the two voices are at different ends of the vocal spectrum. As much as 94 is a great album John was the wrong choice to follow Vince as it was too different.

Brian’s list beats the other two (in my oh so humble Canadian opinion). I’m living the show guys! I always learn something new.
